GED GRAHAM

The Seanchaí – Keeper of Stories

Some people perform songs. Some people tell stories. Ged Graham has spent a lifetime doing both.

Born and raised in Dublin, Ged comes from a generation where stories were woven into everyday life. In the pubs, the front rooms and the streets of the city, he discovered something that would shape his future: the unique Irish ability to turn history into story, strangers into friends and songs into shared memories.

Over the last five decades, Ged has built an international career as a performer, writer, producer and presenter, appearing on stages throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom, Europe, Scandinavia, North America, Australia and beyond. Yet at the heart of everything he does remains a simple mission—to celebrate and preserve the songs, stories and spirit of Ireland.

As the creator and narrator of Seven Drunken Nights, Ged has become one of the leading voices in Irish theatre touring, helping audiences reconnect with the music and traditions that have travelled with Irish communities across generations and continents. His natural warmth, humour and deep understanding of Irish culture have made him a favourite with audiences around the world.

But long before the theatres, the tours and the standing ovations, Ged was simply a Dubliner listening to stories. Today, he continues that tradition, standing on stages around the world and doing what Irish storytellers have always done: bringing people together through laughter, music and a great tale well told.

“A Dubliner by birth, a storyteller by nature, and a proud ambassador for Ireland wherever the road may lead.”
