Dylan Graham

The Wayfarer’s Friend – No Stranger Long Remains

Some people discover Irish music. Dylan Graham was born into it.

From the moment he arrived in the world, Dylan was surrounded by the sounds, stories and traditions that have shaped Irish culture for generations. Born into a theatre family, he spent his earliest years backstage, in rehearsal rooms and on tour buses, immersed in the unique world of live performance long before he could fully appreciate the magic of what was happening around him.

His connection to Ireland runs deep. Through both sides of his family, Dylan’s roots stretch across some of Ireland’s most storied counties. His grandmothers hail from Dublin and Tipperary, while his grandfathers came from Dublin and Kildare, creating a family heritage steeped in Irish music, storytelling and community. The songs, humour and traditions of Ireland were not something he discovered later in life—they were part of the fabric of his upbringing. Family gatherings were filled with music and stories, and the rich culture of Ireland became woven into his identity from the very beginning.

Growing up around touring productions gave Dylan a unique insight into every aspect of theatre. While many performers first encounter the stage as adults, Dylan was learning how productions come together from childhood, gaining an appreciation for both the performers in the spotlight and the dedicated teams working behind the scenes.

Today, he is an integral member of the Se7ven Productions family. Audiences will recognise him as the popular barman character in Seven Drunken Nights, a role he has performed on UK and international tours, bringing warmth, humour and youthful energy to the stage. Away from the spotlight, Dylan also plays an important role within the production team, contributing to the technical and operational work that helps bring each show to life.

As both a performer and a member of the production team, Dylan represents the next generation of Irish theatre-makers—combining a lifelong love of Irish music with a modern understanding of touring theatre. With strong family roots, a passion for live performance and an exciting future ahead, he is continuing a tradition that has been part of his life since day one.

Irish music is in his blood, theatre is in his bones, and the story is only just beginning.
